Mads is a software engineer at Google and site-lead for the Google office in Aarhus, Denmark. Since 2007, he has worked on programming language technology. He started out working on the V8 JavaScript engine and its integration into Google Chrome. He led the team that introduced tracing garbage collection (Oilpan project) for C++ DOM objects in Google Chrome. For the last couple of years, he has led the R8 team that implements the D8 dexer and R8 application shrinker used in Android Studio.
