Conduct
Nobody likes a jerk, so please show respect for those around you. This applies to both in-person and online behavior.
The central goal of a conference is to encourage the open exchange of ideas through free expression. This requires an environment that enables all to participate without fear of harassment. ECOOP is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, no matter their background or beliefs. All communication should be appropriate for a technical audience, bearing in mind that people may have very different backgrounds. Sexual language or imagery is not appropriate, including during talks.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact one of AITO’s Code of Conduct Representatives, Annabel Satin or Sophia Drossopoulou, or any other member of conference staff. You may contact the Code of Conduct Representatives and request anonymity, if you so desire, to discuss your concerns without worrying about future consequences.
